We can cast in white gold, yellow gold & sterling silver. The first step is to sketch your piece, choose a picture or choose a ready made wax. Using the ancient “lost wax” casting method, the wax is encased in a can that is filled with plaster and allowed to dry. This method had been used for thousands of years. The can of plaster is placed in a hot kiln so the wax design in it can melt & burn out. This leaves a hunk of plaster with the hollow shape of the wax design in the middle of it. Designer, Frank Trainor, then places the plaster in a centrifugal casting device which pushes the molten metal down into the hollow shape in side the plaster. Once it cools, he will chip away the plaster leaving your jewelry design where the wax once was, hence, the wax is “lost”. Your piece still needs to be cleaned up, carved or welded and he'll mount any stones that you desire. A final polish and in a matter of a few days, your custom jewelry is complete!
